Galens Garden was founded in 1990 by Belinda Francis, researcher, writer, product designer and webmaster, specialising in the natural care of small herbivorous pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas & degus.
Using mainly the herbs these animals would eat as a natural part of their diet, Galen’s Garden developed a range of products including treats, supplements and skin care products for them.
The site grew, and the range grew, unil it became difficult to manage the upkeep manually with over 500 pages. In 2010, as a 20th birthday celebration, Belinda rebuilt the site by moving it to a database driven site spanning a number of specialist domains.
The years since then have seen the expansion of the range to include a lot more whole dried herbs, herb and forage pellets, seeds to grow your own forage and live plants.
