Sky Blue flowers, dark green leaves with white hairs. Borage is rich in calcium, phosphorus and mineral salts. Borage seeds are a rich source of GLA – Gamma Linoleic Acid an omega-6 essential fatty acid.
Particularly useful when fed during cortisone or steroid drug treatment, recovery and periods of stress as it acts on the adrenal cortex, restoring and reviving the function of this important gland.
Borage aids lactation.
Constituents: Saponins, mucilage, tannins, and essential oil.
Actions: Diaphoretic, expectorant, tonic, anti-inflammatory, galactagogue.
