Melilot is used in human herbal medicine for varicose veins and haemorrhoids. It should not be used by those taking anticoagulents. The herb should be used immediately or quickly dried if harvested from the wild as it is toxic if spoiled.
Constituents: Flavanoids, courmarins, tannins, volatile oil.
Actions: Mildly sedative and antispasmodic.
